More than 600 people turned out to show their support last night for miners and their jobs at the Coal Rally at Logan Middle School.

More than 200 miners at the Guyan Surface Mine at Yolyn stand to lose their jobs if their valley fill permit is revoked on May 31 when the issue goes before Judge Goodwin. Environmentalists are trying to stop coal from being mined at Yolyn and that would be devastating to Logan County and all of southern West Virginia. People from all over attended and took part in the rally. Everyone from union and non-union workers, bosses and company officials
