More than 200 miners at the Guyan Surface Mine at Yolyn stand to lose their jobs if their valley fill permit is revoked on May 31 when the issue goes before Judge Goodwin. Environmentalists are trying to stop coal from being mined at Yolyn and that would be devastating to Logan County and all of southern West Virginia.
