COW CREEK, W.Va. — Mrs. Jeanette Elkins, 65, of Cow Creek, formerly of Holden, was born August 6, 1944 at Logan, a daughter of the late John and Beatrice Evans Michaloff. She passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010, at her residence.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas Elkins Sr., and two sons, Gregory Allen Dowdy and Kenneth Douglas Dowdy.

Mrs. Elkins was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Amy (Larry Jr.) Adkins of Cow Creek and Brian (Kelly) Dowdy of Charleston; grandchildren, Leigh Anna Hunter, Caleb Dowdy, Ashton Dowdy, Tommy Adkins, Adam Dowdy, Dalin Adkins and Alex Dowdy; three sisters, Alice (Virgil) Farley of Harts, Tina Stanley of Gilbert and Beatrice Kelly of Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

There will be private services at the cemetery for her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dignity Hospice, 557 Main St., Chapmanville, WV 25508

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is handling the services for the Elkins family.
