BECKLEY, W.Va. — Jeffrey Thomas Robinette, 37, of Beckley, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, at CAMC Hospital following an extended illness.

Born April 14, 1975, in Man, Jeff was the only child of Tommy and Bonnie Robinette.

Those preceding him in death include his maternal grandparents, Densil and Trubie Cline, and paternal grandfather, Cleve Robinette.

Left to cherish his memory along with his parents, is his loving wife of 11 years, Kelli Booten Robinette, and their 9-year-old daughter, Morgan. Kelli and Morgan were the loves of his life, his caretakers, and his reason for fighting such a fierce battle. He is also survived by his grandmother, Kathleen Robinette of Man.

Deeply loved by so many, Jeff was a role model, friend, teacher and an inspiration. Jeff was an ordained minister, and served as the Youth Pastor at Faith Community Church where he changed the lives of many young people. Even through fighting and overcoming leukemia, his faith never wavered. Jeff’s life was a testimony. His commitment to God and others, his creativity, and his spirit define his legacy. Despite his illness, Jeff continued to live, to love, and to laugh. His sense of humor and wit will never be forgotten, and the joy he brought into so many lives will be treasured forever.

Jeff’s favorite activities included spending time with his daughter, playing fantasy football with his wife, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies, or whatever team was winning. Jeff notoriously “rode the bandwagon” and was quite proud in doing so.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Haddadin for his special attention and care, Dr. Michael Craig, Dr. Mehdi Hamadani, Raleigh Regional Cancer Center, and the amazing staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Friends may celebrate Jeff’s life with the family from 6-9 p.m. today at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, with Pastor Jason Lowe and Pastor Sam Peterson officiating.

Pallbearers are Brandon Bennett, William Goode, Chad Hamon, Steve New, Paul Rankin, and Keith Webb.

Honorary pallbearers are Travis Booten, Joe Dobbins, James Franklin, Nick Goff, Rick Hatfield, Carl Hutchens, J.R. Robinson, and Roger Smallwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Morgan Robinette Trust fund, c/o BB&T, 5701 MacCorkle Ave. SE, Charleston, WV, 25304.

Condolences may be left at www.blueridgefuneralhome.com

Blue Ridge Funeral Home of Beckley is in charge of the arrangements.

To Tommy and Bonnie, I was sadden to hear of your great loss. My heart goes out to you, and also to Jeff's family. I know that words can not ease the pain that you are feeling at this time.I just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts, and in our prayers. I never knew Jeff, but I know his father, and I know that he is a wonderful person. I am sure that Jeff was just like him. Just know that we share your pain. Your old working friend, Jerry and Teresa McNeely
