Born December 12, 1934, at Rum Creek, she was a daughter of the late Joyce and Marie Terry Henderson. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Ronald “Buddy” Davis; one son, Michael Davis; one daughter, Becky Szucs, and three brothers, Henry, Herman and Paul Henderson.
Joyce attended Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Church in Logan and had worked as a clerk for Jewell Ridge Grocery Store.
Those left to cherish her memory include her grandson, John David Szucs (Lucy Canterbury) of Peach Creek; sisters-in-law, Mary E. Davis of Peach Creek and Connie V. Yeager of Chapmanville; one daughter-in-law, Stephanie Davis, and one son-in-law, John Darrell of Stollings.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 15, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Rev. Tom Beckette officiating.
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
