LEON, W.Va. — Kristi Rae Grimmett, 32, of Leon, formerly of Man, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 14, 2012, CAMC General in Charleston after a long illness.
Born August 27, 1979, at Man, she was a daughter of Charlotte Goodman Workman of Leon and Ranny Grimmett of Mallory.
Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Goodman, and paternal grandparents, Tennis “Dolby”, Donna Jean and Ruby “RuRu” Grimmett
Kristi was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Additional survivors include her very special step-father, Harold Workman; her step-mother, Gwen Cline of Bruno; two sisters, Hope (Raymond) Holt of Bruno and Shellie (Eugene) Chambers of Horsepen; four brothers: Harold (Ambra) Workman Jr. of Ripley, and Johnathan (Janie) McCoy, Gordon (Savanna) Cline, and Nathan Cline, all of Bruno,; nieces and nephews: Austin Moore, Raymond Jr. and Caleb Holt, and McKinlee, Gunner, Gavyn and Taylin Cline, all of Bruno, Megan and Emily Meza of Horsepen, Katie Hedrick of Charleston, Paige and Sarah Workman of Big Ugly, and Houston Casto of Ripley, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno with Rev. Bill Cantrell, assisted by Randy Toler, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.
