LESLIE WORKMAN

LOGAN, W.Va. — Leslie Harold Workman, 53, of Logan, departed this life Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

Born June 8, 1959, at Logan, he was a son of the late Leslie and Birdie Dalton Workman. Also preceding him in death was one son, Leslie Workman, and one brother, Hollace Workman. Les was of the Church of God faith, loved fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his companion of 22 years, Shirley Diana Ruggles; two stepsons, Billy and Robert (Valerie Grimmett) Ruggles, both of Logan; four stepdaughters, Lisa (Bud Stone) Burgess, Diana Ruggles, and Kassie (Matt Golf) Burgess, all of Logan, and Jeanie (Clyde) Scarberry of Pecks Mill; one brother, Lester (Tiffany) Workman of Logan, two stepbrothers, Mike Cline and James Canterbury, both of South Carolina; stepmother, Shelia Canterbury of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two special granddaughters, Kameron and Jenna Goff, and many nieces and nephews. Les will be missed dearly.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 6, at the Hannah United Baptist Church with Pastor P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery at Bulwark.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ruggles, Robert Ruggles, Bud Stone, Lester Workman, Billy Hall and Mike Conley.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

His 8 grandchildren and great grandchildren were mention but left out by mistake. He had two very special granddaughters, Kameon and Jenna Goff. (jelly belly) they will miss him more with everyday that passes.
