CRAWLEY CREEK — Mr. Lucian Pete Dingess, 67, of Tims Fork of Chapmanville was born September 2, 1944, at Crawley Creek of Chapmanville, a son of the late David Chester and Vicie Christian Dingess. He departed this life Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Dingess was a dedicated Christian, retired from Kirby in Cleveland, Ohio, and loved helping charitable organizations.
Also preceding him in death was his brother, Ralph Dingess.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dingess; son, Lucian Pete (Tina) Dingess II of Brunswick, Ohio; daughters, Angela (Joey) Pridemore of Garretts Fork, and Cindy (Mark) Stollings and Tammy (Larry) Vance, both of Tims Fork; grandchildren, Lucian Pete Dingess III, Christian Dingess, Casey (DJ) Messer, Shana Messer, Savannah Rose Bryant and Larry David Vance III; step-grandchildren, Aaron Pridemore, Kristopher Pridemore and Madison Pridemore; step-great grandchildren, Tangelia Pridemore and Cole Pridemore; his only surviving uncle, Jerome (Veda) Dingess of Striker Fork; siblings, Cecil Dingess of Striker Fork, Dorothy (Arthur) McKinney of Detroit, Mich., Violet Cade and Daisey Mooney, both of Rupert, Lonzo (Bonnie) Dingess and Bill (Rochelle) Dingess, both of Tims Fork, and LaDonna (Roy) Brown of Alderson, and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Roscoe Chafin, Rev. Mike Davis and Rev. Vivie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the David Chester Dingess Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers with Bob Farris and Tony Reed serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
