CHAPMANVILLE — Crawley Creek Church of God honored Bishop Vivie Marcum, along with his wife Tammie, for their 4th year of pastoring on Sun., Aug. 19

A special program was planned in their honor where flowers were given, special poems were read, songs were sung and many gifts from the congregation as a whole were presented to the couple. A special love offering was taken as well and at Pastor Marcum’s request, was put in a special fund for the purchase of a much needed new sign in the front of our church.

Also attending the celebration was the couple’s children, Michael (Brenna), Jesse (Tiarra), Kody and Kyle, and their granddaughter Hannah.

Special speakers for the event were Davin Butcher, who preached during the morning service, and Roy Vance, who preached the afternoon service.

An old fashioned pinto bean dinner, with all the trimmings, prepared by the Ladies Ministry, was offered after the services. A cake was also presented to the couple with the words, “The Best Is Yet To Come” written on it.
