Appalachian Electric Power was using the high school’s parking lot as a staging area for its utility trucks. As of Saturday, thousands of area residents were still without power. The power was lost on Dec. 18 when a foot of heavy snow fell on the area and scores of utility poles and power lines fell to the ground. Logan has a 1-1 record on the season.
