Business leaders from all across Logan County will have a chance to network at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours at Mattress Warehouse at the FountainPlace Mall.
The Business After Hours event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for Chamber members.
Chamber Director Debrina Williams said the event gives business owners and others a chance to network.
“This is a good opportunity for people who would like to tell others about their business and to learn more about others’ businesses,” Williams said. “It’s a great chance to network. It’s really a great opportunity because this provides good insight into what each business does and the customers they serve.”
In 1983, when she was just out of college, Mattress Warehouse owner Kim Brown Knopf answered an ad looking for people to sell mattresses. She investigated the bedding business and decided to open her own store. She moved from Kentucky to Charleston and opened her first store in South Charleston that same year and she currently has 90 stores in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
More than 60 people attended the last Business After Hours at White Armature in Mallory.
Williams said anyone interested in attending should call the Logan County Chamber of Commerce in advance at 304-752-1324.
