Morrison services set for Saturday

LOGAN – Funeral services for a prominent Logan businessman have been set for Saturday.

Grover Morrison was born Oct. 2, 1924, at Hitchens, Ky. He left high school to serve in the European Theatre during World War II. After the war, he continued his education, graduating from Logan High School. He went on to West Virginia University, where he graduated from in 1950 with a Business Administration degree.

Choosing a career in banking, Morrison went to work at the National Bank of Logan, from which he is a retiree. He was a well-respected and loved member of the community.

Tragic circumstances claimed his life on Jan. 5, at his home and his funeral services have been set for Saturday, January 12, at 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Logan, with opportunities for friends to call on the family Friday, January 11, from 5 to 8 p.m at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Military Graveside rites to honor Mr. Morrison will be conducted at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
