CATAWBA, N.C. — Patsy Stollings, 71, of Catawba, N.C., passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.

Born July 11, 1938, in Stollings, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Sovine and Evelyn Cyrus Sovine. Mrs. Stollings was a loving mother to her children and was a member of Mathis Chapel Baptist Church.

Also preceding her in death was her sister, Eloise Sovine Miller.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Franklin Stollings; daughters, Judy Nobles of Harts, Elaine Wyatt of Beckley and Debbie (Ron) Chester of Catawba; sons, Tommy Stollings and and Brad Stollings, both of Claremont, N.C., Tony Stollings and Darrell Stollings, both of Chapmanville, Freddy Stollings of Harts, and Rick Stollings of Cherryville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at the Mathis Chapel Baptist Church in Catawba with Rev. Travis Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
