It has become an unfortunate tradition in Logan County that every November the burglary and theft arrest rates climb and the month has become what several local police chiefs have called the start of the Christmas crime season.

Several locals were recently arrested on a variety of charges and lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.

• Jackie Wayne Frazier, 42, of Page, was arrested in Logan County by Deputy B.E. Ferrell of the Logan County Sheriff's Department for destruction of property and petit larceny on Nov. 11.

He was booked at the regional jail at 12:40 a.m.

• Christopher Paul Dingess, 32, of Chapmanville, was arrested in Logan County by J.L. Sheppard and J.N. Sheppard of the Logan Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff's Department on Nov. 11 for nighttime burglary, assault, battery, trespassing and assaulting an officer. He was booked at the regional jail at 5:40 a.m.

• Christy Dawn Richardson, 30, of Whitman, was arrested in Logan County by Tpr. J.T. Robinson of the WVSP for grand larceny on Nov. 2.
