SHIRLEY BURGESS
LOGAN, W.Va. — Shirley Burgess, 73, of Logan, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born July 24, 1939, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Romney and Georgia Curry Maynard. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Tammy Cox.
Shirley was a school teacher for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Burgess; one son, Samuel (Linda) Curtis; grandchildren, Jason Curtis, Brandon Larue Cox and Sabrina Curtis, and great-grandkids, Andrew, Madison and Jaiden.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, at James Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Curry Cemetery at Harts.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
James Funeral Home of Logan is in charge of arrangements.
