It's been a busy spring and summer for law enforcement agencies in Logan and surrounding counties that have had their hands full dealing with alleged drunks — both on foot and behind the wheel.

• David Joe Whitt, 42, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the West Virginia State Police for DUI, driving on a revoked license, obstructing an officer and trespassing on July 1. He was booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 10:50 p.m.

• Melanie Gaye Harvey, 24, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Logan County Sheriff's Department for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and obstructing an office on June 24. She was booked at the regional jail at 4 a.m.

• Sherry Diann Richards, 44, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the WVSP for public intoxication and obstructing an officer on June 24. She was booked at the regional jail at 10:42 p.m.

• Bryan Charles Edward, 28, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Logan County Sheriff's Department for public intoxication and obstructing an officer on June 20. He was booked at the regional jail at 2 p.m.

• Alan Perry Compton, 30, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Chapmanville Police Department for public intoxication and obstructing an officer on June 20. He was booked at the regional jail at 1:10 a.m.

• Derrick Bruce Collins, 22, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Man Police Department for public intoxication and shoplifting on June 18. He was booked at the regional jail at 4:31 p.m. Further information not available, charges dismissed.

• Jamie Ray Collins, 20, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County by the Man Police Department for public intoxication and underage consumption on June 18. He was booked at the regional jail at 4:27. Charges dismissed.

• Ralph Bowen, 48, residence not listed, was arrested in Logan County, agency not listed, for DUI, no insurance and driving on a revoked license on June 14. He was booked at the regional jail at 2:30 a.m.
