Sword leads Lady Billies past Mount View

MAN — The Man High School girls’ basketball team ran its record to 11-6 on the season with Tuesday night’s 46-36 win at home over the Mount View Lady Knights at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

Summer Sword again led the Lady Billies with 25 points.

Mika McCoy had 10, Taylor Whited six, Hannah Harvey three and Jennifer Shull two.

Both teams were tied 7-7 after the first quarter of play.

Man then led 22-14 at the half and 32-24 after three.

The Lady Billies, coached by Tonia Ward, have three scheduled games left in the regular season. Man was slated to host Westside on Wednesday night before hosting Greater Beckley Christian on Monday, Feb. 11. Man then goes to Charleston Catholic on Feb. 12.
