The Chapmanville Regional High School boys’ basketball team improved to 10-9 overall and 4-6 in the Cardinal Conference with Friday nigth’s 64-40 win at Wayne in league action.
The Tigers began a tough four-game stretch in five days with the victory over the Pioneers.
Chapmanville was set to host Sissonville on Saturday in its Senior Night game, then travel to Tolsia on Monday for a make-up game before closing out the regular season on Tuesday night at home against Class A county rival Man.
The Tigers swept the season series with Wayne, also scoring an easy 52-29 victory at home earlier in the season.
Chapmanville led by 11 points at the half over the Pioneers before outscoring Wayne 12-1 in the third and turning the game into a blowout.
Mackenzie Martin and Mikey Hurst each poured in 18 points to lead the Tigers. Kenny Plumley added 13 points.
