HAMLIN — Lincoln County dropped the Chapmanville Regional High School boys’ basketball team to 1-2 on the season with Tuesday night’s 51-43 win over the Tigers at the LCHS gym in Hamlin.

Chapmanville could not muster any offense at all as Coach Allan Hatcher’s Tigers were just 3-for-25 from 3-point land and were an ice-cold 22 percent from the floor.

T.J. Arbaugh had a double-double for Class AAA Lincoln County (2-3) with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Kenny Holton recorded a double-double as well with 10 points and 10 boards.

Mackenzie Martin scored 17 points for Chapmanville and Kenny Plumley added 14. Michael Hurst and Joe Tackett tallied six points each.

The Panthers led 6-5 after one quarter, 15-14 at the half and broke the game open in the third by outscoring Chapmanville 19-5 to take a 34-19 advantage. The Tigers outscored Lincoln County 24-17 in the fourth but it was not enough.

Chapmanville is scheduled to host Poca on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Cardinal Conference action.
