WIC increases income guidelines

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (TSN WIC) office in Logan has announced that the income eligibility guidelines were increased on April 1, 2012.

The new income guidelines allow a household of four to gross $42,643 yearly. This can also be viewed as a household of four being allowed to earn $3,544 monthly. For each additional family member $611 can be added to the monthly gross earnings.

The Logan TSN WIC office is located at Services WIC offer include Nutrition Education; Breastfeeding Support; Health Screenings; Healthy Food Packages and referrals to other agencies.

Income guidelines for the WIC program (effective April 1, 2012) below are listed in order as Household size, weekly income, monthly income and yearly income:

1 — $398; $1,723; $20,665

2 — $539; $2,333; $27,991

3 — $680; $2,944; $35,317

4 — $821; $3,554; $42,643

5 — $961; $4,165; $49,969

6 — $1,102; $4,775; $57,295

7 — $1,243; $5,386; $64,621

8 — $1,384; $5,996; $71,947

For each additional family member add: $141 weekly, $611 monthly and $7,326 yearly.
