WV Freedom Festival donates to Shriner's

The WV Freedom Festival Car and Motorcycle show was more than beautiful cars and motorcycles. This year, the festival held the shows in memory of their fallen friend and festival supporter, Frank Chirico.

Chirico's son Justin, as well as other family members, was present during both shows, and commemorative t-shirts were given to the participants of both events.

Proceeds of the Motorcycle and Car shows were donated to the Shriner's of Logan who help transport children to Shriner's Hospital and help children in need.

Those walking away with awards at the Car Show included: Show Stopper and Top 25 Awards were awarded to Doug Hager, C. Johnson, Bill Fry, Larry Butcher, Olivia Lambert, Robert Gragg, Jeremy Whitt, Jack Harriston, Bill Dickerson, Yolonda Turner, Watson Gardner Jr., Tyler Hobbs, Donvona Bishop, Stephen Stapleton, Steven Hepler, Keith Adkins, David Hager, Lewis Marcum, Joe Caldwell, Roscoe Smith, Ralph Lusk, Tom Fink, Roger Bevins, Jim Carpenter, Jimmie Ellis, Cecil Adkins, Donald Ferrell, Scott Thomas, Paul Vance, Timmy Hall, Richard Adkins, Jesse Wellman, Robert Gore, Harold Hanshaw, Dave Rockel, Steve Evans, Danny Layton, Henry Browning, Connie Rockel, Ken Sparks, Carols Mounts, Rebecca Lambert, Eugene Vinson and Corky and Trenten Spencer.

The top car show awards awarded was: Bill Miller Award, C Johnson; Most Unique, Tyler Hobbs; Best Interior, Ralph Gragg; Best Wheels, Douglas Vinson; Crowd's Choice, Orville Christian; Best Engine, Jackie Evans; Show Stopper, Bill Wilcox; Best Cadillac, Hobert Tucker; City's Choice (In Memory of Claude Ellis), David and Jackie Cochran; Best Paint, Rex Flint; Sexiest Corvette, Wally Thornhill; Most Miles Traveled, Terry Peterson; Best Golden Oldie, Douglas Vinson; Best Chevy, Raymond Conley; Best Ford, Joseph Cline; Best Mopar, Johnny Dingess; Best Import, Bobby Shrader; Frank Chirico Memorial Award, Mike Vance, and Best of Show, Dale Pauley.

Top Motorcycle Awards awarded was: Best Custom, Saunders Big Dog; Best Wheels, Steve Addair; Most Modified, Steve Viars; Best Paint Sanders Big Dog; Most Chromed Out, David Browning; Best Metric Touring, Ronnie Stephens; Best Overall Harley, Brian Newsome; Best Metric Street, Reed Craddock; Best American Touring, Jack Doty; Best American Street, Dwight Vance; Best Sport, Greg Ball; Best Trike, Brenda Gayle Dan; Best Custom Built Bike, Steve Viars; Mayors Choice, Steve Addair; Frank Chirico Award, Steven Ratz; Best of Show, Jack Doty.

The car and motorcycle show will be held every year in memory of Frank Chirico during the WV Freedom Festival.
