The Logan High School basketball team will have its second and final preseason test on Saturday as the Beckley Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles come to town.

Logan and Beckley are scheduled to scrimmage at 4 p.m. at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena.

The Wildcats played in last Saturday’s preseason Fast Lane Tipoff Classic at Sheldon Clark High School in Inez, Ky., and lost to Shelby Valley, Ky., in a 105-94 shootout.

New Wildcat and WVU signee Noah Cottrill poured in 46 points in the game.

Logan opens the 2009-10 season on Dec. 15 at home against county rival Man. The Cats then play Cottrill’s old team – Mountain State Academy of Beckley – on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Hoops Classic at the Charleston Civic Center, the home of the state tournament.

There will also be a “Meet the Wildcats Night” on Friday at 7 p.m. at Willie Akers Arena.

There will be a prize giveaway, a 3-point shootout and a dunking contest.
