Born in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and LouEmma Marcum Adkins. Also preceding her in death were her spouses: Lewis Harrison, Homer Fannin and Charles Coughlin; daughters, Connie Sue and ErmaLee Harrison; son, Tommy Harrison; brother, Dana Ray “Bucky” Adkins; sisters, Joyce Hillgen and Ruth (Blue) Adkins, and great-grandson, Joshua Fortner.
Carmen moved to Avon Park in 1994 from Monroeville, N.J., and was a member of First Baptist Church of Avon Park. She attended Southern Cosmotology in Huntington and was owner of Carmens Beauty Shop at Melville.
Survivors include her loving family: husband, Frank M. Fabijan; son, Robert (Liz) Harrison of Barboursville; daughters, Teddi Gail Williams of Julian and Linda (Charles) Rodriquez of Sebring, Fla.; adopted daughter/granddaughter, Katherine Fannin of Avon Park; brothers, John (Dotty) Adkins-Hagen of Huntington, Wayne (Genevieve) Adkins of Malaga, N.J., Bernie (Barbara) Adkins of Vineland, N.J., and Daniel (Billie) Adkins of Elmer, N.J.; sisters, Bertis Murphy of Yoncalla, Ore., Betty (Floyd) Carrigan of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Mary (Warren) Snyder of Avon Park and Cindy (Jack) Conover of Sewell, N.J.; grandchildren, Randall Cox Jr. of Hazel Green, Ala., Stephen (Kimberly) Cox of Fraziers Bottom, Cynthia Cox of Ridgeview, Nancy Duncan of Charleston, Christopher Cox of Avon Park, M. Bruce Hobbs of Morgantown, and Jonathan Alexander Fisher of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Miller of Blooming Rose, Christopher Whitworth of Huntsville, Ala., Lauryn Cox of Fraziers Bottom; great-great-grandchild, Brady Miller of Blooming Rose, and numerous extended family members.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, at Morris Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Beck officiating. Entombment followed at Lakeview Memorial Gardens at Avon Park.
