HOLDEN, W.Va. — Michael Dale Brewster, 58, of Holden, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home with his family.

Born May 17, 1954, at Holden, he was a son of Barbara Brewster Cook and the late Jack Brewster Sr. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Golden and Allie McCloud and Alex and Bernice Brewster.

Michael worked at Hall Drug Store and was a registered nurse for 30 years. During this time he worked at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Melodee Brewster; one daughter, Hope (Larry) Williamson, and one son, Jason (Irene) Brewster, all of Holden; one brother, Jack (Anita) Brewster of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren, Ethan and Rylee Williamson, Kimberly and Jacob Abraham, Derrick Brewster; two very special nieces who he considered his granddaughters that called him Uncle Papaw, Morgan and Alison Adkins, and a host of brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30, at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John T. Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Whitman Cemetery at Crooked Creek.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brewster was a great guy. He and Jason would always pick me up for band practice and trips. His sense of humor was second to none. I will be praying for this family during this tough time. For those that knew him, Mr. Brewster will be truly missed. May the lord be with his family.
