CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK — The Aracoma Story Inc. will present the musical “Ring of Fire, beginning Tuesday at the Liz Spurlock Ampitheatre in Chief Logan State Park.

“Ring of Fire” through words and music, will bring to life the stories made famous in Cash’s songs. Among the songs showcased will be “Country Boy,” “A Thing Called Love,” “Five Feet High and Rising,” “Daddy Sang Bass,” “Ring of Fire,” “I Walk the Line,” “I’ve Been Everywhere” and “Man in Black”.

From the songs and stories of a true legend comes a theatrical musical experience that will lift your heart and stir your soul. Ring of Fire is a journey into the heart and heartland of America, courtesy of one of Arkansas’ most beloved musical poets – Johnny Cash.

Summer Box Office Tickets are Adults $12; Seniors $10, and Children (3-12yrs) $8.

Summer Advance Tickets are Adults $11; Seniors $9, and Children (3-12yrs) $8.

Discounted Tickets may be purchased based on availability at: Pic-Pac Supermarket in Man, Aracoma Drug in Chapmanville, Somethin’ Country in Downtown Logan and The UPS Store at The Oaks Plaza near Wal-Mart.

Chris Blisset, director of “Ring of Fire,” has directed the music to two national tours of “Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story” – for one of which he played Billy Sherrill.

As a director he has worked in a dozen states on everything from Johnny Cash to Shakespeare, including musicals and children’s theatre. He was recently seen in the on-stage orchestra of Bloodsong of Love Off - Broadway and at Joe’s Pub with such Broadway talent as Kacie Sheik, Tituss Burgess, Caissie Levy and Felicia Finley, as well as American Idol top-ten finalist Constantine Maroulis. He can be seen coast-to-coast (and on youtube) doing stand-up comedy. He is from New York City where he writes musicals and writes and directs music for Broadway singer Felicia Finley. After this production, he is off to Pennsylvania and then back to West Virginia for his third and fourth productions of Ring of Fire in a year. Chris is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association.
