Get out the brooms.

It was a sweep.

The Logan-based Cheeriffic All-Star cheerleaders took four squads to last weekend’s Jamfest U.S. Cheer Super Nationals in Indianapolis, Ind.

Cheeriffic went 4-for-4 as all four squads ended up winning division championships, advancing to the Jamfest Nationals, which will also be held in Indianapolis, April 13-14.

Three Cheeriffic squads had already qualified for the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) Nationals, scheduled for March 9-10 at the Walt Disney World Resort’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. Cheeriffic had made it to the UCA Nationals by qualifying at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Championships in Sevierville, Tenn.

The Cheeriffic All-Stars are coached by Heather Bryant and Brittney Hartman. The team practices out of the Flip-N-Twist Gym in downtown Logan.

Hartman said she was pleasantly surprised by all four teams taking first-place performances in Indiana.

“I never imagined in my wildest dreams that all of our teams would be presented with these great accomplishments. They performed better than they ever have before and I could not be any more proud of them,” she said.

Bryant said the four squads have been blessed to make it this far and to make it to two national youth cheerleading tournaments.

“This is truly a blessing from God,” Bryant said. “Our motto is, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ Our team was greatly blessed with these wins.”

At last weekend’s event in Indianapolis, the Cheeriffic Tiny Cheer squad took first place in an eight-team division.

The Cheeriffic team won with 87.71 points, topping the second-place Ellenwood Starzone of Georgia Tiny Twinkles team of Lithonia, Ga., which finished with 86.62 points.

Third was the Layton Athletics Glitter squad of Ringwood, Ill., which had 82.04 points. The Valley Xtreme Pride squad of Louisville, Ky., was fourth with 81.09 points. Taking fifth was the Tumble-N-Twist Dynamites of Vincennes, Ind., with 80.58 points.

Rounding out the top eight were: the sixth-place Capital Elite All Stars Bitty Bolts of Springfield, Ill. (80.24); the seventh-place Interactive Academy team of Zionsville, Ind. (78.55); and the eighth-place Burlington YMCA All Stars Glitter team of Burlington, Iowa (77.58).

The Cheeriffic All-Stars also took first place in the seven-team Small Mini Cheer division with 88.57 points, edging out the second-place Atlanta Jayhawks Mini White squad of Duluth, Ga. (87.09).

The Allstar Rebel Rascals of Geneva, Ill., was third with 85.17 points. Fourth was the GU Shamrocks Lucky Charms squad of Indianapolis with 85.15 points.

The Capitol City Cheer Rubies of Jefferson City, Missouri, took fifth with 81.90 points. The Onyx All-Stars of Athens, Ala., was sixth with 81.06 points. The Cheer Zone Tigers of Evansville, Ind., placed seventh with 77.59 points.

Logan’s Cheeriffic All-Stars were also the winners in the 12-team Youth Cheer Level 2 group. The Cheeriffic team took first by more than three points with 90.99 points, besting the second-place Cheer and Dance Galaxy Rockets of Countryside, Ill., which finished with 87.70 points.

The Paducah Elite team of Paducah, Ky., was third with 86.32 points. Fourth were the GU Shamrocks Classy Clovers of Indianapolis (85.94). Club 10 of Sullivan, Ind., was fifth with 85.76 points.

Taking sixth were the Infinity Athletics Virtue team of Avon Lake, Ohio, with 85.40 points. Seventh was the XPA All-Stars Divine team of Madison, Ala., with 85.38 points. The Cheer Wisconsin Freeze squad of Prarie, Wis., took eighth place with 85.26 points. Ninth were the Rockstar Athletics of Oak Creek, Wis., with 84.47 points.

Rounding out the top 12 were: 10th-place Spirit Explosion of New Albany, Ind. (82.21); 11th-place Burlington YMCA All-Stars Shimmer squad of Burlington, Iowa (81.87); and 12th-place Tumble-N-Twist Explosion of Evansville, Ind. (81.58).

The Cheeriffic team also took first place in the Small Youth Level 3 division with 85.50 points. The squad beat out the second-place team — the Mystiq Jewels All-Star Diamonds of Columbus, Ohio — which registered a 84.07 score.

The Jamfest Cheer Super Nationals are one of the largest youth cheer competitions in the country and attracted more than 100 squads from all over the United States and two from Ontario, Canada.

The Cheeriffic All-Stars were the only squad from the state of West Virginia.

Teams came from such places as: Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Alabama, Florida, Washington D.C., Nebraska, Arkansas, North Carolina, Colorado, California, Minnesota, Tennessee and South Dakota.

If the news wasn’t good enough for the Cheeriffic teams over the weekend it just seemed to get even better and better.

Before leaving Indianapolis, the Cheeriffic Minis and Youth Level 2 teams were two of 15 teams picked as winners of full paid bids to the Jamfest U.S. finals in April.

National Cheer Camp. The Logan-based Cheeriffic All-Star cheerleaders are scheduled to host the first ever National Cheer Camp at the West Logan Church of God gymnasium in West Logan on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Each child will receive instruction from the coaches of Cheeriffic’s National Champion Tiny Level 1 and Mini Level 2 teams during the one-day cheer and gymnastics camp.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church gym. The camp is for students ages 3-14 and the price is $30 per participant.

The camp includes an air tank for tumbling, a make-your-own cheer bow and makeup station, a dance station, a jump station, a stunt station, a cheer station, photos and more.

There will also be a concession area for children to purchase drinks and snacks.

Each camper will receive an award at the end of camp. There will also be T-shirts for sale for $15. Other cheerleading gear will also be sold at the camp.

You can register for the camp with any Cheeriffic coach or parent. Late registration will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 8:30-9 a.m. at the gym.
