Logan native to deliver game ball for Reds

Logan County native and Neibert resident Michael Skaggs has been selected to present the official game ball as part of the pregame festivities for this Sunday’s Cincinnati Reds game.

Skaggs will be representing the community as part of Logan, WV Day when the Reds take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati at 1:10 p.m. He will be recognized on the field before the game and will then deliver the official game ball to the pitcher’s mound.

Logan, WV Day will take place this Sunday, July 22nd and coalfield area residents have the opportunity to purchase discount tickets for select seating locations.

A limited number of shaded field level seats are available for purchase in person at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce offices. For more information, contact Debrina Williams at 304-752-1324.

The first 8,000 kids 14 and under in attendance will receive a Reds mini mascot set presented by Coca-Cola. Gates scheduled to open at 11:40 a.m.

Tickets for all available discount locations can be purchased online at www.reds.com/logan.

Discount tickets must be purchased by Friday, July 20, to receive the Logan, WV Day discount. Discount tickets cannot be purchased at the box office on the day of the game.

Logan, WV Day is presented in partnership by Reds on Radio Network affiliate WVOW and the Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
