Bulletin spurs twice the number of claims
CHARLESTON – State Treasurer John Perdue has announced that the latest unclaimed property newspaper insert has generated twice the interest of the previous one released. The February insert placed in newspapers across West Virginia generated 3,734 claims, as opposed to 1,836 in April of 2012. EPA adds to W.Va.’s list of impaired waterways

(AP) — The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection improperly left 255 streams totaling about 1,000 miles off a list of impaired waterways it submitted for approval last fall, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Monday.
