Buffalo Creek Watershed meets

The award winning Buffalo Creek Watershed Association (BCWA) recently held its annual meeting at the local grade school gym. Some fifty folks were on hand including several from the blossoming Huff Creek group just one Guyandotte River tributary to the south. Perry Harvey, long-time spokesman for the group presided over the meeting.He first recognized other BCWA Board Members including Eddie Adkins, Arthur Brunty, Dave Crawford and Johnny Doss. He then introduced several guests, all of which heaped praise on the group for their continuing efforts along the creek. These range from the basics of cleanup and youth fishing days to the more complex of seeking stream restoration grants with the many government agencies.
