Local woman to run in Boston Marathon

Stephanie Abraham, age 35, may live in Chapmanville, W.Va., but she will prove to everyone just how Boston Strong she is on Monday, April 21 when she runs in the prestigious Boston Marathon.The Boston Marathon is any runner’s dream race. The course is a tough 26.2 miles through the hills of New England, the admittance is highly selective, and it is the oldest marathon in the United States. In fact, the first one was held in 1897.

 

8th Annual Man on the Move

The 8th annual Man on the Move walk was held Sat., April 12, at the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library. Participants received free t-shirts, had the opportunity to receive a door prize and had the opportunity to have a blood pressure checked.
