HUNT, W.Va. — Berry Neal “Hawk” Frye, 55, of Hunt, went to be with his heavenly Father Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from Cleveland Clinic at Cleveland, Ohio, after a courageous battle with heart disease.

Born August 24, 1955, at Man, he was a son of the late Thomas Emery and Anna Marcum Frye. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Ronald Emery Frye, and one infant sister, Linda Carol Frye.

Berry “Hawk” was a disabled bus driver, formerly employed with Logan-Mingo Mental Health. He formerly worked for the Triadelphia Bit Company when it was owned by Travis Grimmett. Berry “Hawk” was a 1974 graduate of Man High School. He was a member of the Bright Star Freewill Baptist Church where he served as the Sunday school superintendent. Berry “Hawk” loved people especially his brothers and sisters in Christ and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Devoted to his family, he was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 32 years, Delena Cheryl Lowe Frye; two beloved sons, Jason Robert (Sabrina) Frye of Mitchell Heights and Matthew Neal Frye, at home; twin brothers, Freddy (Sherry) Frye of Lorado and Teddy (Nancy) Frye of Hunt; one sister, Eloise (Johnny) Hill of Braeholm; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who loved him very much, Connie Lowe of Gilbert, Ernest and Martha Lowe of South Point, Ohio, Jerry and Linda Lowe of Cross Lanes, Teresa and James Vance of Ethel, Greta Lowe and Carolyn and John Francis, all of Man, and Joy Lowe of Taplin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, at the Bright Star Freewill Baptist Church at Melville with Rev. James Vance and Rev. George Leese officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery at East Lynn.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers in Christ at Bright Star Freewill Baptist Church, his special buddy, Charles Chandler, Jonathan Ellis, Charles “Buddy” Ellis, Johnny Meade, Leonard “Buddy” Ellis, Millard Cochran, and Preacher David Campbell.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
