MT. GAY, W.Va. — Chloe R. Maynard, 73, of Messer Hollow of Mt. Gay, departed this life Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at her residence.

Born December 25, 1936, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Damsel Messer Crittenden. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Clyde Maynard, and one grandson, Ricky Lee McCoy.

Chloe was a homemaker, attended the Hedgeview Christian Baptist Church and a member of the Dempsey Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Craig Maynard of Logan, and Alex (Samatha) Maynard and Michael (Brandy) Conley, both of Dempsey Branch; three daughters, Alesa (Rick) McCoy and Evon Mullins, both of Dempsey Branch, and Kathy Caldwell of Elkins; three brothers, Dave, Ronald, and Andrew “Buddy” Crittenden; three sisters, Connie, Kim, and Betty Jo Crittenden; several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 12, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Richard McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
