RUBY BARKER
Born March 29, 1937, in Chapmanville, she was a daughter of the late Chilton and Rhoda Chapman. Also preceding her in death were three of her sisters, Victoria Crowder, Elizabeth Ferrell and Logene Anderson; her paternal grandparents, Albert and Melissa Chapman and maternal grandparents, Bowe and Roxie Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Alice (Pete) Sampson; one sister, Marlyne Johnson; one brother, Frank Chapman, and two grandchildren, Karen and Michael Sampson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 13, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Carlton Cook officiating. Ruby will be laid to rest in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be Ed Freeman, Eric Freeman, Vincent Evans, Ace Freeman, Darryl Freeman and Rod Noe.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
