GARRETT MAYNARD
Born April 21, 1948, at Kenova, he was a son of the late Vernon and Reba Maynard. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Vernon Maynard Jr. and Granville Justice, and one niece, Misty Dawn Maynard.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ava Maynard; one brother, Paul H. (Barbara) Maynard of Chippewa Lake, Ohio; one sister, Janet E. Varney of Omar; one special niece, Melissa R. Varney Browning; nephews, Garrett W. Maynard, Steve Maynard, Paul (Elaine) Maynard, Greg (Mary) Maynard, Michael Maynard and Cordell Wallace; additional nieces, Amanda Wallace, Nikki Wallace, Jenny Collier and Jamie Collier. Garrett had a special great-nephew, Braxton R. Browning of Verdunville. Garrett was known to him as his papaw.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joe Justice, Garrett “Wally” Maynard, Randall Maynard, Jason Maynard, Vincent Maynard and Darrell Tomblin.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
