Several local areas are under a boil water advisory due to a main line water leak.

Press releases issued Monday said custoemrs of the Logan County Public Service District in the Rum Creek area from Orville to Yolyn and from Yuma to Dog Patch will all need to boil their water due to a leak in the main line that occurred causing the need for the advisory.

The press releases say to bring the water to a boil and let it boil for one minute and then let it cool before using, or use bottled water.

"We will inform the customers of (these areas) when they no longer need to boil their water," the Logan County PSD press releases, from Melinda Gullett of the PSD, said.
