Several more areas of Logan County are now under a boil water advisory.

The Logan County Public Service District sent out boil water advisories Monday for the areas of Rum Creek area from Orville to Yolyn and from Yuma to Dog Patch due to a leak in the main water line.

On Tuesday, the Logan County PSD then issued another boil water advisory for customers in the Bentley Branch, Godby Branch, Wheatley Branch, City of Chapmanville, Crawley Creek, Ridgeview, Sunset Court and Hidden Valley areas of Chapmanville due to an interruption in water service.

The press releases do not say if the boil water advisory issued Monday and the advisory issued Tuesday are related.

The press releases say to bring the water to a boil and let it boil for one minute and then let it cool before using, or use bottled water. "We will inform the customers of (these areas) when they no longer need to boil their water," the Logan County PSD press releases, from Melinda Gullett of the PSD, said.

There was no indication if the Monday boil water advisory had been lifted.

The press releases ask that customers share this information with others in their communities so that everyone gets the notice.
