BIG CREEK, W.Va. — Cletus Bell, 86, of Big Creek, departed this life Friday, January 14, 2011, at Trinity Healthcare.

Born April 30, 1924, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Elbert and Maggie Bell. Also preceding him in death was one daughter; three brothers, Nathan Bell, Wetzel Bell and Clerk Bell, three sisters, Winona Thomas, Corella Eve and Florida May, and one son-in-lawn Brad Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rosa L. Bell; three daughters, Debra Bell of New Jersey, Janet of Limestone and Denise Johnson of Ranger; one step-daughter, Tina (Bruce) Plumley of Prince George, Va.; one son, Dennis (Jennie) Bell of Lucasville, Ohio; one step-son, Andy J. Meade of Prince George; one brother, Eddie (Marlene) Bell of Limestone; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one special granddaughter, Amber D. Plumley, and many special nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Frankie Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
