HOLDEN, W.Va. — Christy Lee “Sia” Neil, 35, of Holden, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 15, 2011, at CAMC General Division in Charleston.

Born July 5, 1975, in Logan, she was the daughter of Darrell (Debra) Neil of Chapmanville and Mary Ruth (Willis) Stollings of Holden, and a very special and close uncle and aunt Bobby and Debbie Barnette.

Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Elmer Neil, and a special uncle, Bennie “Big Boy” Ward.

Christy was a graduate of Logan High School and a member of the 7&8 Holden Freewill Baptist Church. She loved hunting, horses and spending time outdoors. She was also a volunteer with the WE CAN program for children and helped to raise donations for St. Jude’s Hospital.

Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shana Christine Hall of Pecks Mill; grandparents, Bennie and Mary Lou Ward of Holden, with whom she made her home; paternal grandmother, Sally Neil of Chapmanville; one sister, Jennifer (Jason) Carter of Man; one brother, Darren Lee (Maryann) Neil of Chapmanville; one niece, Abi Neil; four nephews, Hunter and Jaxon Neil, Chandler Duncan and Josh Carter; special cousin/niece, Heidi Barnette, who she loved dearly; a special cousin, Claudia Ellis, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at noon today, January 18, at the 7&8 Holden Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. John R. Spears and Rev. Alvis Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers include Darren Neil, Bobby Barnette II, Benji Barnette, Jason Carter, George (Shorty) Ward, Anthony Bazzilla, Kevin Stone, and Bobby Adkins.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services today at the church.
