CARLSBAD, N.M. — Bobby Dean Linville, 77, of West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, N.M., passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Lakeview Christian Home of the Southwest in Carlsbad.

Born December 25, 1933, in Peach Creek, he was a son of the late Bernard and Callie Deloash Linville. Also preceding him in death was the love of his life, Nancy Hefner; brothers, Jimmy and Billy Carter Linville, and sisters, Delores “Tootsie” Browning and Quindora Marie Osborne.

Bobby was raised in West Virginia and moved with his family to Carlsbad in 1958 where he was employed by US Borax and Duval as a plant operator until his retirement. He enjoyed micro-midget race cars, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos football and spending time with his coffee buddies at McDonald’s.

Survivors include his daughters, Connie (Neil) Estes of Carlsbad and Teresa (Don) Garland of Plano, Texas; brother, Danny (Janie) Linville of Man; sisters, Wanda Ramey of Tampa, Fla., and Cathy (Curly) Fields of Man; three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, at Carlsbad Cemetery at Carlsbad with Pastor David Prell of Blodgett Street Baptist Church officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. Sunday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at West Funeral Home Chapel.
