ROSSMORE, W.Va. — Christian Jude Swims went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 3, 2011, at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital at Charleston.

Born February 3, 2011, in Charleston, he was a son of Chris and Mindy Swims of Rossmore.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Julius “Jude” Farley, Roxie Opal Workman, Gilbert “Buzz” Workman, Donald Swims and Morgan Carl Deskins, and his uncle, William Farley.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents, Dale and Vicki Workman of Harts, Donald (Debbie) Swims of Rossmore and Teresa Swims of Monaville; great-grandparents, Ferbie Farley of Harts, Rosa Swims of Marengo, Ohio, and Virginia Deskins of Monaville; aunts and uncles, Benjamin and Kelly Workman of Harts and Brian and Cora Farley of Chapmanville; his Godmother, Beverly Farley of Chapmanville; great uncles and aunts, Keith and Ocie Farley of Chapmanville, David “Soledad” Farley of Tucson, Arizona, David and Jackie Swims of Switzer, Daniel Swims of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Patricia and John Howard of Marengo, Ohio, Lillian Sargent of Whitman, and cousins, Tina Farley, Christy Ann and Rodney Willms, both of Tucson, Jeremiah and Heather Swims, Elijah Swims, Isaiah Swims, all of Switzer, Susan Browning of Whitman, Stephanie Sargent of Beckley, Adam Howard of Marengo and Joshua Swims of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by Ron and Sharon Deskins and their daughter Stephanie, James and Kim Deskins and their daughter Melissa, and Larry Deskins and his children, Amanda and David, all of Omar and Dottie Deskins of Belle, and a host of other great aunts and uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, February 8, at the Hall Cemetery at Browns Run, Shively, with Manasses Hensley Jr. officiating.

Pallbearer will be Ben Workman.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
