KISTLER, W.Va. — Joan Clark, 79, of Kistler, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born July 7, 1931, in Man, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Lillian Walls Hawks. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Joe Clark; one sister, Betty Joe (Donald) Carroll, and one brother, Charles Wade Walls.

Joan was the retired supervisor of medical records at Man Appalachian Regional Hospital where she worked for 39 years. She was a member of the Medical Records Association and the Seniors Taking Active Roles Today (START) program at Man.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Earl (Paula) Clark of Kistler; one sister, Nadine Mitchell of Man and Titusville, Fla.; several special nieces and nephews; her dog, Baxter, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
