WHITESVILLE, W.Va. — Irene Burns Fisher, 75, of Whitesville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at the CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston after a long illness.

Born August 24, 1935, at Man, she was a daughter of Opal Triplett Burns and the late Thomas Andrew Burns.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Fisher Sr., and a brother, Thomas Harold Burns.

Additional survivors include her children, Gary (Lori) Fisher of North Carolina, Cheryl (Kenneth) Clark of Beaver, Ernest Fisher “Junior” of Cedar Bluff, Va., Crystal (Anthony) Dickens of Whitesville, Kimberly Fisher of Charleston and Cameron Fisher of West Virginia; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and siblings, Barbara (Earthel) Brown, Sharron (James) Jewell and John Burns, all of Davin, and Suzi (Jerry) Caldwell of Point Pleasant.

Irene’s request was for cremation only. No formal services are planned.
