CHARLESTON (AP) — The state Senate has approved legislation targeting fake marijuana and other chemicals meant to mimic drugs.

The Senate voted 32-2 Thursday to send the measure back to the House of Delegates.

The House passed the measure March 2.

The legislation aims to curtail the use of synthetic drugs designed to produce effects similar to cocaine and marijuana. These drugs sport such street names as K2, Spice and bath salts.

The Senate amendment added PCP to the House bill.
