Chapmanville UB to host Pastor Appreciation

CHAPMANVILLE — The congregation of Chapmanville United Baptist Church will honor their pastor, Bobby Adams, on Sunday, March 27, beginning with the morning worship service. Guest speaker will be Rev. Lenny Romans and special singing will be by Richey Proffett.

A dinner will follow the services.

Adams became the pastor of the church in July 2006 after having served as assistant pastor under the late Robert "Bob" Napier. Adams was instrumental in organizing the Men's Fellowship and the Visitation Team.

He has served as the evangelist of the Bethlehem Association and a former pastor of the Hannah United Baptist Church for six years.

A former employee of Hobet Mining, Adams and his wife, Diana, reside at Caney Branch in Chapmanville. They are the parents of two children, Robbie (Becky) Adams and Staci (Mickey) Webb. The have two grandchildren, Scout Adams and Haylee Webb. He is the son of the late Anthony and Irene Adams Sr.
