HARTS, W.Va. — Mrs. Lucille Davidson, 84, of Harts, was born July 27, 1926, at Chapmanville, a daughter of the late Walter Lewis and Iva Maude Adkins Chapman. She departed this life Monday, April 4, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Ivan Davidson, on November 2, 1989; sisters, Jewell Sperry, Corena McCann and Zella Saunders; brothers, Junior, Kenneth, and Freddie Chapman, and a son-in-law, Gary Moore.

Mrs. Davidson was a homemaker and member of the Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church at Hart. She loved gardening, her flowers, her children, her grandchildren, family and going to church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn (George) Frye of Boone County, and Rosa Moore and Sandra (Chris) Chafin, both of Harts; three sons, Jimmie (Wanda) Davidson of North Carolina, and Phillip Davidson and Russell Davidson, both of Harts; three sisters, Jean Mannering of Delaware, Betty Adkins of Harts and Melissa Adkins of Ohio; brother, Gary Chapman of Harts; grandchildren, George Mallory, Phillip Edward, Michael Frank-lin, Priscilla Rose, Stacy Jacqueline, Gary Ivan, Adam Christopher, Amanda Meagen, Sherman William, James Russell, Savanna Marle and Rodney and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Chapman Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapman Cemetery at Harts.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church.
