The Logan boys beat Scott 7-0 and 5-2 while the LHS girls were a 7-0 and 6-1 victor over the Lady Hawks.
In the first boys’ match against Scott, Logan No. 1 singles player Zack Hatfield was an 8-1 winner over the Skyhawks’ Tyler Compton.
Logan No. 2 Tyler Howerton won 8-6 over Kris Halstead, while No. 3 Keith Williamson (8-0) and No. 4 Nathan Thornhill (8-0) each won and didn’t surrender a single game.
In the doubles, Hatfield and Howerton (8-4), Williamson and Thornhill (8-0) and Logan Adkins and Gunnar Curry (8-1) also prevailed.
In the second match against Scott, Logan’s Williamson (8-5), Thornill (8-4) and Tanner Adkins (8-0) won in singles. Hatfield and Curry (8-0) and Logan Adkins and Tanner Adkins (8-0) swept to easy wins in the doubles.
In the first girls’ match against Scott, the Lady Wildcats’ Lauren Chambers was an 8-0 winner over the Lady Hawks’ Kelsey Scott in the No. 1 singles match.
Jenna Turner (8-0), Rebecca Canterbury (8-0) and Megan Gartin (8-0) of Logan also won in singles without losing a single game.
In the girls’ doubles, Chambers and Canterbury (8-0), Turner and Gartin (8-4) and Sydnie Trent and Nikki Kanuri (8-4) all won.
Logan only lost one match in the second meeting with Scott on Thursday night.
Chambers (8-0), Canterbury (8-3) and Kanuri (8-0) won in singles, while Chambers and Canterbury (8-1), Turner and Gartin (8-3) and Trent and Curry (9-7) were victorious.
Logan was scheduled to have a home tri-match on Saturday against George Washington and Beckley.
On Monday, LHS is home against St. Albans.
The Logan tennis team, coached by Justin Turner, then is set to host Riverside on Tuesday.
