LOGAN, W.Va. — Charles “Ruff” Killen, 69, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born July 11, 1941, in Logan County, Charles was a son of the late Charlie “Bud” and Mary Ann Adkins Killen. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Jimmy Killen.

Charles served in the U.S. Air Force, was a former West Logan policeman and a member of the Chapmanville United Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Anna Jo Killen; one daughter, Patience (Ronnie) Smith of Huntington; two granddaughters, April Smith Arthur and Elizabeth Smith, and one great-grandson, Hunter Arthur, all of Huntington; close friends Bernie Ellis, Larry Hardesty, Junebug Gore, Bobby Adams and Ed Thornhill, and numerous other close friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Honaker Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers will include the deacons of the church.

Friends may call on the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
