WHITMAN – It took Logan and Ripley five days to finish their middle school baseball game due to inclement weather, but in the end LMS got the job done as the Timberwolves prevailed 6-0 on Thursday night at Timmy Marcum’s Field of Dreams at Whitman.

Ryan Miller picked up his third win of the year and Z. Minnick hit his seventh home run of the season as LMS improved to 8-1 on the season. Chase Preston and Minnick both had two hits, while Miller and Connor Akers had one hit each.

Miller pitched five innings, striking out seven Viking batters, scattered five hits and not issuing a walk.

Defensively, the Timberwolves did not commit any errors for thr first time this season.

“I’m very proud of that stat. These guys have worked hard on defense,” LMS coach Alex Perry said.

The Logan Middle School varsity and JV teams return to action Friday night against Winfield.
