Born September 14, 1946, at Amherstdale, he was a son of the late Alfred and Goldie Edmiston Bailey. Also preceding him in death was his companion, Margie Chippent; three brothers, Clifford W. Wendel, Jack Justice and Alfred Dean Bailey; one sister, Janet Wendel; one foster brother, Freeland “Pet” White; and one step-son, Lonnie Chippent.
Frank was a retired security guard formerly, employed with Conley Logging Company at Harts Creek. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended various area churches. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Connie (Winfield Jr.) Cooper of Lyburn, Debra K. Browning of Taplin, and Lisa P. Chippent of Holden; one son, William F. Chippent of Lyburn; nine step-children, Patty (Jimmy Jo) Depta, Peggy (Allen) Beavers, Ada (Robert) Perry, Lynn (David) Vance, Martha (Roy) Toler, Rush (Rosemary) Adkins and Tom (Lena) Adkins, all of Lyburn, Betty Dotson of Wayne County, and Wayne Adkins of Tennessee; three brothers, General L. (Mary) Wendel of Aurora, Ohio, Phillip R. “Bud” Bailey of Ravenna, Ohio, and Roger D. “Duke” Bailey of Big Creek; three sisters, Una Pearl “Cookie” Miller of Greenwich, Ohio, Betty L. (Arnold) Cole of Kentucky, and Linda McQuithy of Taplin; one foster brother, Chester White of Lyburn; 12 grandchildren, Justin Cooper, Heather Cooper, Theo Cooper, Matthew (Megan) Browning, Stevie (Josh) Plymale, Little Larry Browning, Adrinna Chippent, Billi Ruth Cull, Clarissa Belle Chippent, Kenny Farley, Little Frank Chippent and Alex Chippent, all of Lyburn; three great-grandchildren; 21 step-grandchildren; three great-great-step-grandchildren; his best friend, Wolly Bully; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Rita Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church at Rita with Rev. Robert Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Browning Cemetery at Lyburn.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
