Born March 16, 1937, in Montgomery, he was the only child of the late E. Dale and Loma Legg Smith.
Frank was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. A co-owner of the former Hall Drug and Weslo Drug Stores, Frank served the citizens of Logan and Man as a registered pharmacist for over 41 years. He attended the First Baptist Church of Logan and was an avid WVU Mountaineer and Logan Wildcat fan.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon Booher Smith; three daughters, Vicki (Jerry) Greene of Mitchell Heights, Stephanie (Chris) Currie of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Valerie (Scott) Southerland of Winston-Salem, N.C., and eight grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Meagan, Michael and Matthew Greene of Mitchell Heights, Thomas, Harrison and Corinne Curry of Edinburgh and Sarah and Elizabeth Southerland of Winston-Salem.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the First Baptist Church of Logan with Dr. J. Gregg Hickman officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
