Born October 8, 1936 at Crum, he was a son of the late Curtis and Mae Conn Copley. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Curtis Copley, Jr.
Mr. Copley was a retired production foreman for Occidental Petroleum. He served with the W.Va. National Guard from 1952-1956. In 1962, he moved to Oklahoma and in 1984 he moved back to West Virginia. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Anna Harrison Copley; three daughters, Terena (Rick) Varney of Princeton, Tammy (John) Padilla of Borger, Texas, and Kimberly (Rocky) Hunter of Guymon, Okla., two sons, William “Bill Jr.” (Michelle) Copley and Ryan (Shanda) Copley, both of Holden; one brother, Donald (Betty) Copley; two sisters, Mildred Earlene Ashford and Deloris Gene (Gary) Watson; one sister-in-law, Carol Copley; grandchildren, Kirk Bledsoe, Amber Neece, Ronald (Sasha) Neece II, Taylor Neece, Michael Padilla, Kyra Padilla, Charity Padilla, Brek (Jena) Hunter, Myca Hunter, William O’Brian (Natasha) Copley, Levi (Stacey) Copley, Angel Copley, Kaylen Copley, Brenna Copley and Jacob Copley; great-grandchildren, Mychaila Neece, Millee Neece, Kevin Copley, Elijah Copley and Killian Bledsoe, and a host of other family and good friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Honaker Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Wells and Rev. Alvis Porter officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby.
Pallbearers include Levi Copley, Ronald Neece II, Jacob Copley, Brek Hunter, sand Brian Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers include William O’Brian Copley, Kirk Bledsoe, Michael Padilla, Shane Keefer, and Sammy Pansera.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
