Grand Jury hands down indictments

Indictments handed down during the May session of the Logan County Grand Jury includes, from Logan Circuit Judge Eric O'Briant's court:

• James E. Browning was indicted on two counts arson in the third degree, two counts assault during the commission of a felony, two counts domestic battery, battery on a police officer, two counts brandishing a deadly weapon, obstructing an officer, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and fleeing from an officer on foot. A $25,000 bond was set and a Surety bond was posted. Don McDaniel was appointed lawyer.

• Thelma Coleman was indicted on forgery and uttering. Bond was set on $1,500 personal recognizance. Bond not posted. Lawyer is Don McDaniel.

• Jennifer Coster was indicted on two counts burglary and petit larceny. Pro-Se. No bound over.

• Roger Damron Jr. was indicted on two counts possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I controlled substance, two counts conspiracy and driving on right side of highway. Pro-Se. No bound over.

• Willie Ellis was indicted on receiving and transferring stolen property, burglary, grand larceny, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Pro-Se. No bound over.

Randall Griffin was indicted on sexual assault first degree, and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian. A $25,000 surety bond was set with home confinement. Lawyer is Gerald Merceruio.

• Ashley Justus was indicted on two counts possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and two counts conspiracy. Pro-Se. No bound over.

• Kimberly Dawn Miller was indicted on two counts sexual assault first degree, four counts sexual abuse in the first degree, sexual abuse by a custodian, parent or guardian, allowing sexual abuse to be inflicted upon a child and conspiracy to commit sexual assault in the first degree. A $100,000 surety bond was set. Bond was posted. Lawyer is Mark Hobbs.

• Mark Miller was indicted on three counts sexual assault first degree, four counts sexual abuse in the first degree, sexual abuse by a custodian, parent or guardian, allowing sex abuse to be inflicted upon a child, displaying obscene matter to a minor, use of obscene matter with the intent to seduce a minor and conspiracy to commit sexual assault first degree. $30,000 surety bond was set. Bond was posted. Lawyer is Dwayne Adkins.

• Justin Earl Murray was indicted on three counts delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance and three counts conspiracy. Pro-Se. No bound over.

• Shane Edward Nelson was indicted on armed robbery. No bond. Lawyer is Dwayne Adkins. Arraigned May 26.

• Shane Nelson was indicted on grand larceny. No bond. Lawyer is Dwayne Adkins. Arraigned May 26.

• Paul J. Spaulding was indicted on malicious assault and two counts obstructing an officer. Bond was set at $35,000 surety or 10 percent cash. Lawyer is Erica Cook.

• Brandon Scott Turner was indicted on failure to register or provide notice of registration changes. Bond was set at $25,000 surety or 10 percent cash. Lawyer is Adrian Hoosier.

• Thomas Vance was indicted on two counts possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, two counts conspiracy, and driving on right side of road. Pro-Se. No bound over.

• Misty Yeager was indicted on eight counts fraud in connection with an access device, eight counts forgery and eight counts uttering. Recognizance bond was set at $15,000. Bond was posted. Lawyer is Don McDaniel.

In Logan Circuit Judge Roger Perry's court:

• Martin Butcher was indicted on cultivation of marijuana. No bound over. Lawyer is Dwayne Adkins. Arraignment date is June 28.

• Chris E. Coats was indicted on malicious assault. A $20,000 property bond was posted with home confinement. Lawyer is Don McDaniel.

• Joshua Farley was indicted on 17 counts fraud in connection with an access device. A $5,000 or 10 percent cash bond was posted. Lawyer is David Wandling.

• Allen Ray Fields was indicted on five counts sexual assault first degree, five counts sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or custodian, and five counts incest. A $1,000 personal recognizance bond was set. Bond violation, back in jail. Lawyer is Robert White. Arraignment date is June 28.

• James Douglas Fields was indicted on five counts sexual assault first degree, five counts sexual abuse by parent, guardian or custodian and five counts incest. A $1,000 personal recognizance bond was posted. Lawyer is Matt Hatfield. Arraignment date is June 28.

• Susie Fields was indicted on three counts child neglect resulting in bodily injury. A $4,000 or 10 percent cash bond was posted. Lawyer is Adrian Hoosier. Arraignment date is June 27.

• Randall Ray Frye was indicted on two counts burglary and grand larceny. No bound over. Lawyer is Dwayne Adkins. Arraignment date is June 28.

• Dion Dan Greenlee was indicted on possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to obey traffic signal. A $10,000 property bond was posted. Lawyer is Dan Merceruio. Arraignment date is June 27.

• Phillip Grimmett was indicted on three counts breaking and entering, eight counts grand larceny and eight counts conspiracy. No bound over. Lawyer is Steve Thorne. Arraignment date is June 29.

• Phillip G. Grimmett was indicted on breaking and entering, grand larceny and destruction of property. No bond posted. Lawyer is Steve Thorne. Arraignment date is June 29.

• Timothy Hackney was indicted on two counts burglary and grand larceny. A $10,000 property bond was posted. Lawyer is Marsha Dalton. Arraignment date is June 29.

• Timothy Hackney was indicted on driving when license revoked or suspended for non-DUI third offense, possession of a Schedule V controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, two counts possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and failure to carry required security (no proof of insurance). An indictment is not proof of guilt. It means that the grand jury considered the evidence from the arresting officers as meriting a trial to decide innocence or guilt. Many dates for arraignment or trial had not been set at presstime.
